RAEBURN

A black and white duplex composed around a six-metre void.

Raeburn is a duplex with a strong graphic presence: black cladding and pale timber battens beneath twin gables, behind a charcoal picket fence. Inside, the drama comes from space and light. A six-metre void rises through the centre of the home, carrying daylight from the upper windows down over the open stair and into the living areas.

Chevron-laid oak floors run the full length of the ground level, met by floor-to-ceiling glazed doors that open the living spaces to the garden and deck. Raked ceilings, a suspended gas fireplace wall and a first-floor retreat overlooking the void complete a home that feels far larger than its footprint.
